Happy Tail for Goshey

One of our volunteers at the shelter adopted this beautiful shy girl a few years ago.  Here’s her Happy Tail.

Goshey was found wandering around Courthouse Park in Deming NM. She was put in a secured area in case her owner was looking for her.  After a day, no one came. She was about 2 months old.  I contacted my husband at work and said ‘We may have another dog !!”.  Another person wanted her but all of her other dogs ran loose and who knows what would have happened to her.  We brought her home and mulled over a name. Since we are close to Apache Indian territory we wanted a name in that genre,  we also have another dog named Quannah .  Goshey is the Apache word for DOG so it was natural.  She has changed sooo much in appearance and attitude.  She gets along well with the other 4 and is a joy.  She doesn’t like the vacuum cleaner though… Hides behind the furniture or jumps on my husbands lap.   But we wouldn’t trade her for anything.
