Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas! This year we have had two wonderful Santa Picture Days to support the shelter with much needed money raised.
The first one was held in downtown Tombstone on the corner of 5th and Allen Streets, on a sunny Arizona day in November. It was well attended by locals and tourists alike. Family pictures and pets were all welcome. Everyone had a great time. Taking your pets to have their pictures taken with Santa is like taking toddlers for the first time. Only instead of tears you have barking!!!! at this event the photographer printed the picture for you to take home. The fee was by donation.
The next picture taking event with Santa and Mrs. Claus was held at PetSmart in Sierra Vista in Dec. We provided the Santa and instead of a .photographer taking and printing the pictures everyone was asked to take their own pictures with their phones or cameras. You could take as many as you wanted. The fee was $5.00 but several people chose to donate more. This was collected at Checkout and applied to our account. There was also a notice that if you posted your pictures to Instagram using the tag. #santaclaws, Purina would donate money to the PetSmart Charities. This was a great way for everyone to benefit. It was a ton of fun and we had parents and kids
and dogs all getting their pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Next year we
plan to have both events again, one in November and one in December. Watch the calendar of events for the exact date and plan to attend the one of your choice.
